The Problem

DISCERN needed a website that could effectively serve two distinct and vulnerable user groups: patients experiencing cognitive impairments and physicians requiring detailed diagnostic tools and data.

The goal was to create an intuitive platform that catered to both audiences, providing easy access to critical information while maintaining a professional and trustworthy appearance.

Additionally, the website needed to address the sensitive nature of its content, particularly for patients and families grappling with potential Alzheimer’s diagnoses.

The Solution

At Scalability, we approached this challenge with a tailored strategy that included:

User-Centric Design: We studied the user groups visiting the website and ensured it would resonate with patients experiencing cognitive decline and their loved ones, as well as physicians seeking detailed diagnostic information. We developed a user-friendly interface that made navigation simple and intuitive for both audiences.

Strategic Visuals: We crafted a powerful visual strategy, featuring a video of a woman in the main header background. The woman calmly stares directly into the eyes of the website visitor, asking the poignant question: "Is it Alzheimer's?" This visual approach was designed to resonate with both audiences, maintaining the seriousness of the conversation without being too scary or overly emotional.

Seamless Integration: The website seamlessly integrates both the patient and physician sections. It’s split into two parts without excluding one from the other, ensuring that both user groups can easily access the information they need. Managing a vast amount of information, including whitepapers and documentation, was a challenge, but we successfully organized it all to provide clear, accessible content.

Content Strategy: We crafted comprehensive content tailored to both user groups. For patients, we provided educational resources and support materials on cognitive impairments. For physicians, we offered detailed diagnostic data, research findings, and tools to aid in patient assessment.

SEO Optimization: From the moment the website went live, we saw a huge engagement spike with over a 500% increase in visitors. Additionally, the website’s ranking improved significantly, jumping over 63 positions on Google. This was achieved through effective keyword optimization, meta tags, and high-quality content.

Ongoing Support: Post-launch, we provided continuous support and updates.
